Welcome to the website of the community group of British immigrants living in Luxembourg established in July 2016 in response to the Brexit referendum.
After 5 years of relentless lobbying and advocacy to protect the rights of UK nationals living in the EU, British in Europe are reluctantly closing their virtual doors since they have been unable to secure the necessary core funding to continue their work, notwithstanding the generosity of many individual donors living in the EU.
Across the EU there is a long list of unresolved issues (and we are sure that more will come up in future), as well as many people who remain in need of competent and targeted assistance to access their rights. You can read the letter that British in Europe wrote about this to UK Secretaries of State on the blog on their website. In addition, British in Europe will be publishing several detailed blog posts over the coming weeks to provide clarity on specific topics.
We will leave this BRILL website up for reference but will not be updating after the closure of British in Europe at the end of February.
Following the closure of British in Europe activities you can still Join the BRILL Facebook group and follow us on Facebook and Twitter (shown further down this page).
